********
Ground hogs day  Cracked me up.
Jeeps Superbowl commercial was a good one I thought.

********

I enjoyed a few Yuengling Black & Tan the other day.
I like the taste ... very similar to Bass Ale and Guinness Draft.
It was the closest I could get for the Super Bowl.

Black and Tan is the Tartan for McGuinness.
If I was to wear a Utility Kilt on the trail, that would be it's colors.
It would not be the "Official Tartan" of the McGuinness clan but I would be happy with it for my purposes.
Plenty out there for about $30 and not the Hundreds of $ it would cost to have an original made.
I'm not that dedicated to the look, I'm thinking practical if I develop chafe and rash.

I'm coming to grips with what is ahead.
I've fine tooth combed the information of my first 30 days and I've begun testing dried food by purchasing it.
Packit Gourmet seems to have the dried ingredients I desire.
I picked up some samples to test.
Saving me time to dry things.
I've spoiled dried goods, I'll let someone else do the work.

Other than that, I'm finishing up on the tarp.
I used the "Sticky Back" Velcro for my doors and the needles would gum up a bit but it was worth it all.
I'm a technician, I can read sewing machine manuals and keep them running if I need to ... and I needed to.

Caused some PITA issues but all in all, the doors are done and I attached my pole guide to the walls of the tent.
Now it just needs to be seam sealed on a non rainy day.

I'll also begin popping holes in my stove tests.
30 ml, 40 ml and 50 ml alcohol stoves.

Using Quilting Pins (the long ones in the picture) because I desire .6mm holes and the pins are .58mm consistenly.

The smaller pins range in thickness from .56 to .72 and will not be considered unless it is an emergency in the woods.
The chuck is so that I can place the pin in my drill press and use it for a punch.  96 holes done twice, so it will take a bit.

I flushed our toilet to see how the water flows while draining to get the proper flow direction for this side of the earth.
Working with the world on little levels.

Now I need to "prick" punch the 96 holes and then re-punch them on the angle I desire to hopefully create a vortex of flames.

Quiet day otherwise ... no memory jogs of worthy note.
Just listening to nature sounds on Pandora to enjoy the relaxation I hope to achieve.
